Moving-Updated and more things

Above is the new furniture set that we got for our new apartment, it was the last bit that we needed to move in on the 22nd ! Time is going by so fast, I still haven't gotten a job yet, two interviews and one more on Monday at 2:15. Last on the list to do is to call to turn the electricity on, renters insurance. Monday I will go up have my interview, then go to SCC and sign up for my classes and i'm done !

So, I had my first beta weekend on AION, and the game was even better than what I expected! It was awesome, i'm glad i'm actually getting into a game that isnt WoW. Quitting wow was easy, but I just like playing something, I zone out when i'm playing games, it's how I relax :)

AION !!! I'm really excited for this game, i've been obsessing over it for weeks now, i'm such a nerd. I have decided to be an Asmodian Cleric.

Sgt. James Crowley arrested Henry Louis Gates Jr. in his home last week after he responded to a report of two black men attempting to break in to Gates' home.

It turned out that Gates, head of Harvard's W.E.B. Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research, had broken into his own home after being unable to find his keys upon his return from a trip to China.

A police report of the incident written by Officer Carlos Figueroa, who responded to the call with Crowley, says Crowley was already in the house when he walked in. The report says Crowley had asked Gates for some identification and Gates shouted that he would not give any information and called the sergeant a racist.

According to the report, Gates then yelled, "This is what happens to black men in America." When Crowley tried to calm him down, Gates shouted, "You don't know who you're messing with."

The report continues that the shouting went on after Gates and the officers walked out onto the front porch. When Gates allegedly wouldn't cooperate or calm down, Crowley arrested him.


I am completely disgusted in Obama as of now. "Race remains a factor in the society. That doesn't lessen the incredible progress that has been made. I am standing here as testimony to the progress that's been made. And yet the fact of the matter is, is that, you know, this still haunts us," he said. "And even when there are honest misunderstandings, the fact that blacks and Hispanics are picked up more frequently and often time for no cause casts suspicion even when there is good cause," he said. This situation is just complete bullshit. If the officers were to have gotten this call and not have responded then they would have been racist because its a house of an African American, but sense the police did respond like they would have to anybody else it too is racist. I honestly think that this professor is just using this as an excuse. The police force was ordered to apologize to Mr. Gates and I stand with them in refusal to do so. They were simply doing what they get paid to do. Honestly, i'd be very happy if the police were to have responded and came down to my house because they thought it was being broken into. I find it funny that none of this would have happend if Gates would have just done what the police officer asked of him, which was to just show his ID... I find it funny that a Harvard professor still makes yo momma jokes.
Actually everything about this just really pisses me off, everything is about racism with Obama. This was my first time voting, I voted for Obama, I don't want to regret voting for him.

Moving part I

August 22nd, 2009 is my move-in date to move to my new apartments with my boyfraan :D !
Moving near one of my bffs Katee and her boyfriend so that should be fun. Moving is a very irritating process actually, we are on a very very tight time limit right now with classes starting at the end of August but I havnt even signed up for my classes, I actually havnt even transfered my credits. I had an interview at Hollister on Tuesday and today I have one at Abercrombie. Hopefully I get one of the two jobs. After I give them these last two papers then we're done, minus the actual move in thing. hm ^.^
